About New England North West Landcare

New England North West Landcare Network Chairs Inc are the contract managers for the RLF s for the Border River- Gwydir and Namoi NRM regions. In recognition of both the huge scale of the areas involved in the NRM regions and the range of farming systems and communities that exist across those regions a 'landscape' approach to deploying local people to serve the communities and associated production systems of the landholders across the region.



Partnerships have been developed with other organisations to provide further funding and support to increase the number of Regional Landcare Facilitators that will operate across the region.   Positions are based at:



Moree – 5 days per week , with funding from Border Rivers Gwydir CMA, the Cotton Catchment Communities CRC, and support from the Gwydir Valley Irrigators Association;



Tablelands Slopes  – 4 days per weeks – supported by Granite Border Landcare Committee  and the North Coast Regional Landcare Network, who have subcontracted NENW Landcare to deliver one day of the Northern Rivers RLF project across the Tablelands area of the Northern Rivers Region;



East Namoi  – 3 days per week,  based at Gunnedah supported by Liverpool Plains Land Management;



Walgett – 2 .5days per week, , and supported by the Lower Pian Pagan Creek Conservation Group.
