CANFA No Till Farming Tour - First Day of the Tour

The Conservation Farming and No Till Agriculture Association (CANFA) is hosting a no-till farming tour to Northern NSW and Central Queensland between 14 and 29 August 2010.
The tour will start from Dubbo and travel to Brewarrina, Cunnamulla, Longreach, Emerald, Carnavon Gorge, Builyan, Hervey Bay, Dalby, Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, Moree and back to Dubbo, with many stops in between.
Just a few of the highlights include:
- a tour of the property of 2008 Conservation Farmers of the Year at Coonamble,
- the date farm at Eulo,
- "Isis Downs" shearing shed,
- a two-day stay in Longreach,
- fossiking for gems at Emerald,
- bush walking around Carnavon Gorge,
- a visit to a sugar mill tour at Bundeberg,
- two nights in Hervey Bay, including whale watching and a tour of Fraser Island,
- a tour of the no-till farming operation at "Jimbour Plains" at Jimbour,
- various no-till farm and machinery tours around Toowoomba with CFI's Michael Burgis.
